This opportunity seeks a skilled Registered Nurse with a background in Medical-Surgical Oncology to provide expert care in a newly opened hematology/oncology outpatient clinic. Working as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will apply your professional nursing knowledge and clinical skills to manage and deliver patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities Include

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for oncology patients
• Collaborating with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate treatment plans
• Educating patients and families regarding disease processes, therapies, and symptom management
• Documenting patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing with strong oncology exposure preferred
• Proficiency with nursing assessments, treatments, and patient education in oncology settings
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR or similar electronic charting tools

• Based in West Des Moines, Iowa, servicing patients within a 50-mile radius
• Contract position with 36-40 billable hours per week, with opportunities for overtime
• Shift work including holidays, with specified holiday staffing requirements
