JOB TYPE: Nights - FT night shift charge nurse, work 3 nights per week, every other weekend, minimally 1 major holiday, 1 - 2 minor holidays

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

Charge Nurse Position Summary

The Charge Nurse is responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care. This role includes clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs. Demonstrates leadership capabilities and a commitment to nursing excellence.

Experience in clinical teaching and quality improvement is strongly preferred.

A Registered Nurse (RN)] who excels in this role:

· Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

· Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions

· Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

· Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

· Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

· Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING 

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program; BSN preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years in a rehabilitative or acute care setting, with demonstrated leadership ability.

License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required; Child and Adult Abuse Certification required; CRRN preferred.
