Position Description
The Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at Boston Children's Hospital is dedicated to the care of infants, children, and young adults with complex esophageal and airway problems. For our team, these very rare esophageal conditions are not rare at all. Since 2010, our clinicians have cared for more than 600 patients, making us the most experienced institution in the world when it comes to treating these complex conditions.
We use pioneering surgical treatments to help children with airway and esophageal problems.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to patients with complex conditions such as Esophageal Atresia, Tracheomalacia, and related GI, Nutrition, Feeding and Pulmonary issues.
- Deliver direct ambulatory nursing care and coordinate services for patients with esophageal and airway conditions.
- Perform telephone triage for gastrointestinal, nutrition, feeding, pulmonary, and surgical concerns related to esophageal atresia and tracheomalacia.
- Assist with medication prior authorizations, prescription refills, and durable medical equipment (DME) needs.
- Coordinate care by:
- Reviewing charts for clinic visits and surgical preparation
- Communicating with local care teams, nursing agencies, and schools
- Providing ongoing support to patients, families, and referring providers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities, including data entry into the EAT Center database.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and across hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- 1 year RN experience required. 2-3 years preferred.
- Pedi RN experience preferred.
- Current Massachusetts RN license
