What You’ll Do
The CBHC (Community Behavioral Health Center) Registered Nurse provides both indirect and direct clinical and nursing services to individuals served within CBHC and the medication clinic. The Registered Nurse will perform duties such as: nursing assessments, administering intramuscular injections, recording progress with treatments, consulting with providers, and facilitating care planning as some of their daily functions. The Registered Nurse will work within a team and should be able to collaborate with all members effectively due to their strong interpersonal skills.

What You’ll Do

The Registered Nurse will perform duties such as: nursing assessments, administering intramuscular injections, recording progress with treatments, consulting with providers, and facilitating care planning as some of their daily functions. The Registered Nurse will work within a team and should be able to collaborate with all members effectively due to their strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive nursing assessments as required, including review of systems, mental status updates, AIMS scoring, and medical clearance assessments
- Interacts with providers, pharmacies, emergency departments, families, and crisis teams to assess individuals’ needs and current situations. This includes interacting with collateral treatment teams to obtain necessary information to provide continuity of care.
- Maintains job effectiveness under changing conditions; including identifying, analyzing and solving problems as they arise.
- Co-facilitates groups with other nursing and clinician staff.
- Accurately maintains information and documentation within Smart Sheet and Carelogic.
- Takes vital signs (height, weight, blood pressures, etc.) on both adult and pediatric populations.
- Assists with medication reconciliation and education with individuals served using collateral conversation and care management with their current BHN provider.
- Assists in triaging and coordinating necessary appointments for urgent cases submitted via smartsheet referral forms.
- Identifies, analyzes, and solves problems as they arise in the delivery of service.

What You’ll Bring
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Minimum of one year experience working in behavioral health or substance abuse.
- Must have basic understanding of psychiatric conditions and use of medications
- Must have ability to read medication orders.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
