Overview:

Sentara is currently hiring an RN to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Cardiac Care Unit.

Hours/Shift:

Full-time, nights. Approximately 7pm to 7am

Department/Position Overview:

CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) is a 12-bed high-level intermediate care unit that specializes in caring for cardiac and vascular patients before and after interventional procedures and surgeries such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary bypass surgery, carotid surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. CCU also cares for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients. We do bedside transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions, remove chest tubes and central lines, and so much more.

As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Minimum Requirements:

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school
