Responsibilities

  • Under the direction and supervision of a professional registered nurse preceptor, performs and assists with various tasks including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • This position requires providing service to the following age population(s), infant to geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be registered in an accredited school of nursing and matriculated in a BSN program, with having successfully completed 1 medical-surgical clinical nursing course.
  • Students must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.2.
  • Skill Requirements include vital signs; bed making; moving, lifting, and turning patients; and feeding patients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency with data entry.
  • BLS Certification required.
