JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Associate's Degree Nursing, Bachelor's degree Preferred

Required Skills Certifications:

· Basic Life Support (BLS)

· ACLS

· PALS

· Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Licenses: Kentucky RN state licensure or compact licensure required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

· Supervises staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.

· Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

· Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.

· Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

· Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.

· May provide patient care when necessary.

· Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

· Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Job duties to include but not limited to below list:

· Assist with survey readiness Assist with finalizing cases daily for billing Prepares and ensures correct information for charge report, bill only reports, maintains log.

· Staff when census is high or when needed Assume charge nurse role Quality and patient satisfaction rounding Resource nurse Assist director with payroll

· Assist director with quality dashboard Assist with oversight of direct reports staffing and scheduling as needed for OR and ENDO Assist with survey readiness

· Facilitate and monitor employee/student onboarding and orientation.

· Covers staff call and director call when needed.
