                                                             Opportunity for $5,000 sign-on bonus included with this position!

  • Location: 744 S Webster Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301
  • FTE Status:  full time .9 FTE (36 hours/week)
  • Work Schedule: day/overnight or straight overnights, every third weekend 
  • Unit Description: Our Ortho/Neuro unit consists of 30 beds. Orthopedic surgery patients mainly undergo total joint replacements, including hips, knees, and shoulders. Typically, these patients are discharged on the day of surgery and are expected to transition to the surgical center eventually. Opportunities for cross-training are available for those interested in the surgical center. The neurosurgery patients undergo procedures involving the spine, neck, and brain, with common surgeries being fusions, laminectomies, decompressions, craniotomies, and tumor resections. Our medical team specializes in caring for orthopedic and neurologic patients, managing all fractures that present to the hospital, as well as surgical site infections and other postoperative complications.

Job Description:

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.

  • Responsible for executing and maintaining high quality standards of nursing care and/or personal performance; accountability for department operations.

Qualifications:

  • Wisconsin RN license required

  • Previous RN experience and supervisor experience preferred
