Job Description
The Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an ambulatory clinic setting, with a strong focus on infusion therapy and care coordination. This role collaborates closely with providers and interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safe and effective patient care. The Infusion RN demonstrates advanced knowledge of infusion medications, administration methods, vascular access devices, and medication safety, while functioning independently during nurse appointments. Responsibilities include patient education, triage, disease management, and clinical interventions that support efficient clinic flow, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient experience. Flexibility to support other Medical Group areas as needed is expected.
EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited professional school of nursing. Nurses involved in the care of orthopedic and spine patients must adhere to defined educational and competency requirements in compliance with DNV Orthopedic and Spine certification. Nurses providing care to orthopedic and spine patients must complete specialty-specific education and validate competency annually.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current Montana License as a Certified Registered Nurse. BLS certification required. Certification in Nurse Infusion preferred.
APTITUDES: Ability to achieve cognitive, organization and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple tasks, stresses, deadlines, difficult situations and/or patients. Ability to conduct self professionally, including but not limited to: interpersonal/communication skills necessary for effective, non-judgmental, and empathetic patient care and customer relations. Open to feedback, and open to a changing environment, which requires flexibility in scheduling and department assignments.
