Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to inmates.

The role involves assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of patient health, ensuring compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations. The RN will collaborate with medical, security, and administrative staff to maintain a safe and effective healthcare environment within the correctional facility.

Key Responsibilities -

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
• Monitor and document inmate health status accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to medical emergencies in accordance with standard protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and correctional teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and correctional facility policies.
• Participate in health education and wellness initiatives for inmates as directed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements regarding inmate medical information.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements -

• Current, active RN license.
• Previous years of nursing experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a correctional environment.
