What You Will Be Doing
Lead operations on a 28‑bed acute care/medical observation unit supporting ED throughput, with patient stays typically 24–72 hours.
Serve as the nursing team leader, ensuring safe staffing, positive culture, teamwork, and psychological safety for the unit.
Provide education, preceptor coaching, orientation, and competency development for nurses at all levels.
Model expert clinical practice and uphold evidence‑based, patient‑centered nursing care.
Develop strong collaborative relationships with hospitalists and interdisciplinary partners to improve outcomes.
Support quality, safety, and performance‑improvement initiatives that drive excellence.
Schedule: Full‑time • Day shift • 40 hours/week • Onsite
Skills You Need
BSN required; graduate of accredited nursing program.
Active NC RN license + BCLS.
1+ year RN experience minimum.
Magnet‑accepted professional certification (e.g., CMSRN, MEDSURG‑BC, PCCN).
Strong communication, leadership, collaboration, and critical‑thinking abilities.
