Representatives Push Increased Funding to Healthcare Loan Repayment Program

The House voted to add $50,000 to the Healthcare Loan Repayment Program, and we would like to give a big thanks to our representatives for pushing for this increase in funding on behalf of all our healthcare professionals.
The program is currently used for ARNPs, Nurse Educators and PAs. The program will likely be expanded to emphasize mental health (via SF 167 which passed the Senate.)
The additional funds net out to 5 additional program participants.
Rep. Lindsay James of Dubuque offered the amendment and Rep. Dave Kerr of Louisa County (who is floor managing the Appropriations bill) encouraged “all” to vote for the amendment!
