We are reaching out to offer you and your nursing community an opportunity to join us in support of the Future of Nursing and ANA-NY booth at the 2019 New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. For those who do not know, we have been sponsoring a booth at the fair since 2013. It began with the Future of Nursing Coalition, a professor and students taking the initiative to offer a booth about nursing education and advocacy while providing health education and promotion to the families attending the fair. As ANA-NY developed and regional affiliates have been formed one of those original affiliates, Central New York Nurses Association (CNYNA) formerly NYSNA District 4, has worked with the planning group to recruit volunteers and sponsors to fund the booth. The experience as a booth volunteer is a community health practicum and service-learning opportunity.

We wish to invite nursing: schools, departments, organizations, and community health institutions to join with us in furthering nursing education, advocacy, and continuing in our alliance with RWJF in promoting a Culture of Health at our booth. Please see the attached posters and flyers for volunteer registration and table sponsorship to offset the costs of our booth. Please post them and circulate them to your membership.
