The Hillman Foundation, in partnership with the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, has just issued the new RFP to provide funding to build the evidence base for innovative, nurse-driven ideas to care for the seriously ill. The Hillman Serious Illness and End of Life Emergent Innovation award will fund $50,000, 12-18 month grants to help accelerate the development of bold, nursing-driven interventions targeting the unmet serious illness and end of life needs of historically oppressed populations, including the economically disadvantaged, racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ people, people experiencing homelessness, rural populations, and others. These awards are for nascent ideas that need funding to collect the data to build a program of research to establish a proven model.

Applications are due March 2, 2021. The grant portal is open now.
