Colleagues, partners, and friends,

 

With a heavy heart, we write to inform you of a big change coming to the Greater Tulsa Area Chapter (GTAC) of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.  Effective June 30, 2021, the chapter charter will be surrendered to AACN HQ by the officers.  In the last decade, we cultivated tremendous growth in the Tulsa area to support our acute care nurses.  We enjoyed cutting edge education, fine wine and dining, and special events of our own creation.  We used our creativity to expand the group and bring information and networking opportunities to this community.  In return, you saw many of us grow individually into, and out of, leadership roles in the chapter.  Now, we explore new paths.  Unfortunately, we have not found nurses to assume officer positions at this time.  However, AACN GTAC was resurrected once before and we are confident it can be again should nurses accept the challenge.

 

Our vendor for June pulled support from the last education dinner event.  Therefore, operations will close with a whisper instead of a bang.  We wish all of you the best and encourage you to always pursue a challenge, find what motivates you, and achieve the dream.
