The North Dakota Nurses Association extends our support to the families, friends and coworkers of Dr. Preston Phillips, Dr. Stephanie Husen, Amanda Glenn, and William Love and to the brave Saint Francis healthcare workers in Oklahoma who were caring for patients and protecting them from harm during the active shooter event on June 1. We support you during your healing and recovery. 

As we bear witness to these brutal assaults against our health care workers, please know that the NDNA and ANA have been advocating for workplace safety and violence prevention. We all need to work together as all health care - associations and facilities - with our legislators to reduce violence in health care settings.
