Happy School Nurse Day to all of my colleagues.  I am humbled and honored to be the President of RICSNTA and of such an amazing and dedicated group of professional nurses.    

I wanted to highlight two of our own who demonstrate nursing excellence and who make us proud.  Sharon was recently awarded SN of the Year at the Crowne Plaza event.  Her Principal and colleagues spoke about her passion and dedication to the practice of school nursing.  Congratulations again to Sharon, from all of us!

Sam is new to school nursing in RI and in her words, "I have truly found my passion".  Her Principal, Mrs. Martin, wrote that Sam "exudes warmth, humor, and a genuine care for all those she encounters". 

Not only do we celebrate Sharon and Sam, on Wednesday, May 10, we need to celebrate each other!  Our passion is what gives us the courage and stamina to make it though each day.  Keep in mind, we made it through a world pandemic.
