In accordance with the Hawaiʻi - American Nurses Association Bylaws, this serves as the member notice of the upcoming annual conference business meeting, officer elections, and proposed bylaws amendments. 

Annual Conference Business Meeting

Held hybrid at the Honolulu Country Club/Zoom on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1:00pm HST. 

We strongly encourage all to attend the full conference as it will be a day filled with networking, engagement, and 6.0 CEs. If you are a member and interested in only attending the business meeting portion of the event please register here. 

Positions Open for Election

• President-Elect (4 year commitment)
• Secretary
• Neighbor Island Director (must reside on an island other than Oʻahu)
• Director-at Large - 2 positions open
• Nominating Committee - 2 positions open

Voting opens on September 28th and closes October 28th. Members will receive an email invitation with notification of candidate slate and access to the voting platform on September 28, 2023.  Election results will be announced on October 28, 2023 at the Annual Conference Business Meeting.

Bylaws Amendments Proposal 

Hawaiʻi-ANA Bylaws Committee completed a thorough review and evaluation of the Hawaiʻi - American Nurses Association Bylaws adopted in 2021. The committee took careful considerations to in drafting the proposed bylaws amendments to ensure the operational needs were met for the organization to fulfill its mission. Members are encouraged to read the proposed amendments, email the Chair of Hawaiʻi-ANA Bylaws Committee Katie Kemp, pastpresident@hawaii-ana.org, with questions or comments; and/or prepare comment to present at the annual conference business meeting on October 28, 2023.
