The February Rounding is focused on the new Washington state law for reporting patient demographics (HB1272) requiring hospitals in the state to collect and report detailed patient information on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) to the Department of Health. The impact of implementing patient education, defining the demographic terms, staff training and understanding the law has opportunities and challenges.
