August is a remarkably busy month at NWONL! Be aware that both the annual scholarship and elections open immediately August 1st. Members will be sent direct information for both activities. In September, elections for board the 2025 board and by-law updates (if applicable) will commence. In summary:

Leadership Advancement Scholarships:

• Scholarship applications will open Aug 1st through August 31st.
• Two $2500 scholarships for advanced degrees oriented toward healthcare and nursing leadership will be awarded.
• Selection is in September
• Award and funding award will follow and be completed before year end.

Board Elections and By-Laws updates for 2025:

• NWONL Board nominations (for the 2025 board session) open Aug 1st through August 26th.
• Annual By-law update proposals, if applicable, will be reviewed and approved for vote by the current board.
• Voting will commence on/about September 3rd.
• The new board will assume responsibilities in January of 2025.
