Released in January- a new CPG titled Spine Surgery: A Clinical Practice Guideline for Perioperative Nursing Care

This guideline lays a foundation for clinical practice to improve patient outcomes following spine surgery.  The recommendations contained in this CPG are limited to the adult neuroscience spine population who have undergone spine surgery.  This evidence-based review is a valuable resource for nurses responsible for the care of spine patients.  It is not intended to replace formal education but rather to augment the knowledge of clinicians and provide a readily available reference tool.
