"Dear Friends,
On Wednesday, April 16 at our next scheduled meeting we will have as our speaker Barbara Chabner from the Brain Injury Alliance of NJ.
This presentation provides an overview of brain injury/concussion prevalence, causes, symptoms in youth, and then highlights the connection between brain injury and mental health/suicide.
Barbara will also touch on prevalence in youth athletes, brain injury as a risk factor for substance use, and non-fatal suicide attempts leading to brain injury. Her wrap up will conclude with some considerations for prevention.
Please try to attend what we anticipate to be an extremely interesting and informative program. Remember, we meet at Temple Sholom of West Essex, 760 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove from 10:00am until Noon. Please RSVP no later than Monday, April 14
Looking forward to seeing you there.,
