The Central Virginia Association of Nursing Professional Development seeks nominees for the
Spring 2024 Awards. Submissions are due by Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, and can be submitted
through the QR Codes below. Awards will be presented at the CVANPD Pathways

Excellence in Nursing Professional Development Award: This award recognizes the nurse who has shown an overall pursuit of excellence in the performance of nursing professional development. Nominee must be a CVANPD member. Click here to submit. 

Nursing Professional Development Practitioner of the Year: This award recognizes the NPD Practitioner who facilitates the acquisition and advancement of the knowledge and skills required for competent practice and positive patient outcomes. Nominee must be a CVANPD member. Click here to submit. 

Preceptor of the Year: This award recognizes the nurse who serves as a preceptor and demonstrates the key components of the preceptor role, including teacher, clinical role model, consultant, and friend/advocate. Click here to submit. 

Rising Star: The award recognizes a nurse new to NPD that shows outstanding promise in the role of NPD Practitioner. Click here to submit.
