Happy Monday!! 

If you attended EXPO, you know that many of the educational sessions were focused on and around Nursing Engagement and Staff Retention. So, here is my question to all you leaders… How do you keep your nurses, co-workers, and staff engaged or show appreciation? Please share!

 

One of the ways that we show appreciation is with food, and not just pizza. Poor pizza gets a bad rap. We do order Pizza for those “just because” days, because we know ALL surgery people love to eat. 

However, we provide so much more than just pizza! We love catering from different places, but Mexican food seems to be the #1 on our list. I know chips and dip are one of my food groups!!

A major way we keep our team engaged has been through developing a Culture of Safety.  We empower our nurses and staff to use their voice! I remind them daily, if you do not speak up, we do not know what we need to work on! Because we all want to be the best of the best!
