Dear Peach State 1116 Chapter Members and Guests,

Welcome back! I’m excited to kick off another year of learning, networking, and collaboration as we prepare for a busy and rewarding season ahead.

This year’s AORN theme is Lighting the Pathway. Let’s carry this message forward as we focus on ways to guide, inspire, and elevate perioperative nursing through innovation, teamwork, and leadership.

Here’s what’s coming up:

♥September 27, 2025 – American Heart Association Heart Walk

We are proud to participate alongside the Atlanta and Northwest Atlanta AORN chapters in this important event.

♦November 1–2, 2025 – Southeastern AORN Regional Conference in

St. Augustine, Florida. Peach State will be sponsoring one member by reimbursing their registration. The application will be in this newsletter.

At this conference, we are also honored to present two DAISY Awards. Please take this opportunity to nominate a nurse deserving of this recognition by visiting southeastperiop.com/daisy-awards.

♣April 11–14, 2026 – AORN Global Conference & Expo in New Orleans, LA.

We look forward to coming together on the national stage for this impactful event.

We are also seeking Campus Champions for all the facilities where our members practice, as well as committee members to help carry forward our initiatives. These leadership roles are not only a great way to serve your chapter and grow professionally—they also provide valuable experience that can count toward the points needed for CNOR recertification. If you’re interested, please reach out to any board member to learn more.

Together, let’s continue to rise, light the pathway for one another, and support each other in the meaningful work we do every day.
