All applicants must meet Criteria 1 through 4 and respond to questions within Criteria #5.

Review of Criteria 5 will be made by The Great Basin AACN Board Members. The Committee determines the winner based on review of the essay questions.

Criteria 1:           New Nursing Graduate (or) Advancing Nursing Graduate in: Critical Care, Progressive Care, or Nursing Education, not currently on attendance or academic probation. Graduation occurring prior to    December 30, 2025

Criteria 2:           Planning to practice at an acute care facility: Critical Care, Progressive Care, or Telemetry and/or Academic Institution after graduation and with successful NCLEX results.

Criteria 3:           Winner of scholarship will attend a Great Basin AACN Chapter meeting(s) during the 2025/2026 calendar year.

Criteria 4:           Applicant is a member of both the Great Basin Chapter of American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (Local Chapter), And a member of AACN (National Member).  Discounted Student Memberships are available if you become a member prior to taking your NCLEX Exam.  For more information see the membership information here.
