A Message from your GLBOC BOD….

Your GLBOC Board strives to develop an annual agenda with varied, interesting, and salient topics to support the diversity of nurses in our organization.  Traditionally many of these have taken the form of a vendor-sponsored educational dinner.  However, changes in the industry and economy have impacted vendor sponsorships. As a result, there will be no March educational dinner.

Meanwhile, your BOD is continuing to work on developing ideas and seeking partnerships with vendors.  This has included programs such as February’s meeting on a Healthy Work Environment which was funded by GLBOC.  

Membership in GLBOC is intended to be a dynamic, interactive process where members can network and share ideas.  We want your input and participation to continue the legacy of this organization.  So what can you do to help?  We would love to hear from you….

• Educational topics you would like presented
• Different types of events to attend
• Contacts you may have with vendors interested in sponsoring events
• or,  any other ideas!

Lastly, we love the enthusiasm for attending our monthly educational events.  There is always a waiting list and often much more demand than space allows.  

Sadly for February’s meeting almost half of those who registered were no-shows. To that end, we ask that you please cancel your spot as soon as you know that you will be unable to attend.  This will enable us to maximize the number of members who can attend and minimize financial losses.
