We are collecting to help those with mental illness have an easier time at the holidays. Operation Reindeer is Mental Health of America's annual drive to provide Christmas gifts for Westmoreland County Residents at Torrance State Hospital, a long term facility for psychiatric patients. Items are being collected to help make being away from family at Christmastime easier for patients who struggle with serious mental illness.

Please bring any of the following to our November meeting: CD players (a bunch of those), clothing, especially larger sizes, shoes, outerwear, toiletries, Pittsburgh sports memorabilia, batteries, bags of snacks, slippers, PJs, or money. I will deliver any donations to a  friend of mine who works with the mentally ill in Westmoreland County. Last year she collected enough to supply gifts for 66 patients. Let's help Martina beat that number this holiday season.
