NEW STANDARDS RELEASED FROM SGNA ON INFECTION CONTROL

SGNA is pleased to announce two new practice documents focused on infection prevention based on recently-released research. The new and revised practice documents give additional information and insight to assist GI nursing professionals

• REVISED Standards of Infection Prevention in Reprocessing Flexible Gastrointestinal Endoscopes
• NEW Standard of Infection Prevention in the Gastroenterology Setting

As the professional organization representing GI nurses and associates, SGNA is committed to meeting the needs of our specialty with practice-related strategies. Infection Prevention is a critical issue facing GI professionals, and SGNA provides GI professionals with the necessary tools and resources to ensure the delivery of safe patient care.

The SGNA Practice Committee thoroughly reviews research in order to create new or revise an existing practice document. Before they are released, SGNA Guidelines and Position Statements undergo a rigorous review, copy editing and approval process
