The Greater Chicago INS Chapter hosted an educational event on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the RAM Restaurant in Schaumburg. The evening began with two vendor product presentations from Angiodynamics and Incyte. The main presentation, "Nursing in the Mission Field" presented by Sue Silverstein, BSN, MSN, CRNI and Donna Matocha, MSN, RN, CNRN, VA-BC explored the nurses' role in mission trips. Sue and Donna discussed the difference between international and domestic trips, as well as the preparation involved. They shared personal stories from past excursions that touched the hearts of all in attendance. At the closing of the presentation, they challenged the audience to consider participating in mission trips in order to grow personally and professionally.
