The Oncology Nursing Society Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Oncology Nursing Society, is a national, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, dedicated solely to the advancement of oncology nursing practice.

To that end, the foundation is accepting applications for its annual Pat McCue/New Orleans Chapter End-of-Life Care Nursing Career Development Award. Through the program, a single grant of $2,000 will be awarded to support continuing educational activities for a registered nurse dedicated to caring for patients and their families during the final stages of life. The award cannot be used for tuition in an academic program.

To be eligible, all applicants must be a registered nurse who spends 75 percent of his or time involved in end-of-life care and who has a minimum of one year’s experience in end-of-life care.
