Due to our continued growth, Duke University Health System has a number of new opportunities for hospice nurses across our system.

- In recent years, Duke has delivered market and merit base salary adjustments to RNs that equate to 18.46% in increases.
- Performance-based merit increase every October.
- Industry leading retirement contribution (8.9% of the first $61,850 of salary, and 13.2% of annual salary over $61,850).
- Home health hospice nurses can receive additional compensation for pay over productivity if they see >5-6 patients/day and are eligible for additional compensation for extra shifts.
- Employees with 2+ years of full-time service are eligible for up to $5,250/calendar year for tuition related to their job and/or continued career growth at Duke.
- Duke has a great program in place to help you pay for your relevant RN certifications. If your certification qualifies, you will receive $1000 for your initial certification, and $750 each time you renew.
- Mileage is compensated at the IRS rate ($.53.5/mile for 2017), one of the highest rates in the industry.
